Speed Readiness Check
Tick what you already have ready. Your score shows how close your file is to moving at full speed — and which missing pieces would slow it down most.
Why paperwork decides how "instant" your loan is
Most fast lenders can make a decision quickly once they have what they need. The clock usually stops while they wait — for a statement, a signature, a rates notice or a payout figure from another lender. That's why two businesses asking for the same amount on the same day can be funded days apart.
This checklist groups the usual hold-ups into four areas: the people behind the business, the bank and accounting data, the tax position, and the property if you're using one. Each item has a short note explaining why it matters, so you can prioritise the gaps that cost the most time.
The three items that save the most time
- A secure bank-statement link. It replaces a stack of PDFs with verified data in minutes. See how bank-statement links work.
- Every signer lined up. Directors and guarantors all need to verify ID and sign. Tell them before you apply, not after approval.
- Existing lenders contacted early. If there's already a loan on the property, the payout figure or consent can be the slowest step of all. Read what still takes time.
What if my score is low?
A low score isn't a "no". It means your file will take a little longer to verify, and it tells you where to start. Many owners enquire first and gather documents while the specialist works out the pathway. There's no credit check when you first enquire, your details aren't passed around a list of lenders, and a real person tells you exactly which items your loan needs. Fill the form in accurately and the list you get back will be short and specific. Start your enquiry when you're ready.
Readiness check questions
What is a speed readiness check?
It's a checklist of the things that most often slow a business loan down — ID, entity details, bank data, tax lodgements and property paperwork. Ticking what you already have shows which gaps to close before you apply, so verification moves at the speed of the lender rather than the speed of your paperwork.
Do I need every item before I enquire?
No. You can enquire at any time and a specialist will tell you exactly what your pathway needs. The checklist simply helps you get ahead, especially if you're hoping for same-day or 24–48 hour timing.
Why is a bank-statement link faster than PDFs?
A secure link lets the lender read verified transaction data straight from your bank in minutes. PDFs and screenshots have to be checked by hand and can be questioned, which adds time.
I'm not using property. Should I skip the property section?
Yes. Switch the property section off and your score will be worked out on the items that apply to an unsecured or cash-flow loan.
Is my information saved or sent anywhere?
No. The checklist runs in your browser only. Nothing is stored or sent, and it doesn't ask for your name or contact details.
